The Best Parties in the Chicagoland area. 10 out of 10
Battle House Laser Tag in Lake Barrington turns an ordinary group outing into a series of tactical missions, team challenges, and friendly competition inside a massive indoor arena.
Players are not simply chasing individual scores. They have to communicate, defend objectives, solve problems, and work together while another team is actively trying to ruin the plan.
Some students will immediately take charge. Some will quietly figure out the best strategy. A few will discover that listening during the instructions was probably a better idea than they originally thought.
Reserve Your SchoolBattle House gives schools, clubs, and student organizations an active experience that encourages teamwork without making the event feel like a classroom exercise.
Before play begins, our staff explains the equipment, arena rules, and mission objectives. We divide players into teams and guide the group through several different games.
Depending on the mission, students may need to:
• Protect an objective
• Capture an item
• Defend a teammate
• Hold an important position
• Share information with their team
• Change their strategy when the original plan falls apart
The missions naturally encourage communication, leadership, problem solving, and cooperation.
Nobody has to sit through another awkward icebreaker. Once the first mission begins, the group has plenty to talk about.
Many activity venues work well until the group becomes too large.
Battle House Lake Barrington can host up to 80 players at one time, with larger events possible through special scheduling and rotating sessions.
We have worked with small school clubs, entire athletic teams, large youth organizations, and events with hundreds of participants.
One church youth event brought more than 400 players through Battle House over the course of an afternoon. The organization rotated groups of approximately 50 players through shorter sessions so everyone could participate.
Whether your group has 12 students, 40 players, 80 players, or several hundred participants, contact us before booking. We can help build a schedule that fits the group.
Book NowSchool and youth group events can be scheduled during the week or on weekends.
Groups that can visit during school hours, weekday afternoons or evenings, or other off peak times will normally have the greatest flexibility and may qualify for special student or youth group pricing.
Available options may include:
• Public group reservations
• Private arena events
• Off hours events
• One or two hour sessions
• Rotating sessions for very large organizations
• Event room time after the games
Saturday is normally our busiest day. Groups looking for the best availability and value should consider a weekday, Friday, or Sunday event.
Send us your estimated attendance, age range, preferred dates, and whether you would like a private event. Our team can recommend the best option.

Battle House works especially well for these events because parents and children can participate together instead of the adults watching from the sidelines.
They may arrive as parents and children.
They normally leave debating who actually carried the team.

They are great with kids. Any ages. My kids 7&10 were there playing for 2 hours and had a great time!!!! Love this place.
Great place for the kids to have fun with friends and burn off some extra energy! Don’t forget your battle house shirt for free upgrades…

This place is absolutely awesome. This is tactical laser tag with " missions", rather than the typically laser tag with all the blinky annoying lights. It's fun for kids as well as adults. The staff is excellent and professional. They are also phenomenal with individual groups like Explorer Princesses and Boy Scouts, etc. This place gets 5 stars easy.
I've played maybe 10-15 times, and usually all sessions go great. Typically any bad review is usually from immature kids who don't know how to listen, consistently break the rules, and might have to sit out a game.

An Absolute Blast! Not Your Average Laser Tag
We visited Battle House Laser Tag in Lake Barrington for a 2-hour session midday this past Saturday with the family, and it completely blew our expectations out of the water! If you are picturing the neon-lit, blacklight "kiddy" laser tag from the 90s, think again. This is a full-blown tactical, real-life video game experience.
The Arena & Vibe
The facility is massive—an indoor arena right around 15,000 square feet. It is built like a movie set or a first-person shooter map, complete with eight two-story buildings, alleys, and plenty of places to take cover. Because we went on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty busy with a mix of birthday parties and walk-ins, but the arena is so large that it never felt unmanageably crowded.
Gameplay & Equipment
Instead of a simple "free-for-all," the games are structured around specific 15 to 25-minute missions. Over our 2-hour block, we played awesome scenarios like Capture the Flag, Search and Destroy, and VIP Escort.
The gear itself is top-notch. You are outfitted with head sensors and realistic-feeling taggers. A nice bonus for parents: the equipment uses safe, invisible infrared light (just like a TV remote), so there are no actual lasers to worry about with your eyes.
My son had a wonderful party at Battle House. The staff was fantastic and ensure we had a full 2 hours of play.
The facility is always clean, the equipment in great working order, and all have a great time.
