At Battle House Laser Tag in Lake Barrington, your group enters a 15,000 square foot indoor arena built around mission based tactical laser tag. Multiple structures, elevated positions, a crashed helicopter, and team objectives turn the event into something closer to a live action game than traditional arcade laser tag.

No previous experience is needed. Our staff explains the equipment, organizes the teams, and guides everyone through several missions. Big Enough for the Whole Crew

Small activities can force a larger company to divide into groups that barely interact. Battle House can host up to 80 players at one time, with larger events possible through special arrangements.

That opens the door for department competitions, employee appreciation events, leadership outings, holiday parties, school staff events, sports team celebrations, church groups, and organization wide gatherings.

Our second floor lounge and observation area also gives guests who are not playing a place to watch the action. They may offer helpful advice.

An Indoor Plan That Does Not Depend on Chicago Weather

Northwest suburban weather is not known for respecting event calendars.

Snow, rain, wind, summer heat, and the occasional four season weekend do not change the plan inside Battle House. Your event stays indoors, which makes it easier to schedule winter outings, end of year celebrations, and company events months in advance.

Your group checks in, receives a safety and equipment briefing, and is divided into teams. Our staff leads the missions and keeps the event moving, so the organizer does not have to spend the day managing every detail.

This place is absolutely awesome. This is tactical laser tag with " missions", rather than the typically laser tag with all the blinky annoying lights. It's fun for kids as well as adults. If you are picturing the neon-lit, blacklight "kiddy" laser tag from the 90s, think again. This is a full-blown tactical, real-life video game experience.
​The Arena & Vibe
​The facility is massive—an indoor arena right around 15,000 square feet. It is built like a movie set or a first-person shooter map, complete with eight two-story buildings, alleys, and plenty of places to take cover. Because we went on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty busy with a mix of birthday parties and walk-ins, but the arena is so large that it never felt unmanageably crowded.
​Gameplay & Equipment
​Instead of a simple "free-for-all," the games are structured around specific 15 to 25-minute missions. Over our 2-hour block, we played awesome scenarios like Capture the Flag, Search and Destroy, and VIP Escort.
​The gear itself is top-notch. You are outfitted with head sensors and realistic-feeling taggers. A nice bonus for parents: the equipment uses safe, invisible infrared light (just like a TV remote), so there are no actual lasers to worry about with your eyes.
​The Staff
​The staff (they call them Field Marshals) were fantastic. They effectively managed a chaotic Saturday afternoon crowd, clearly explained the "Rules of Engagement," and made sure the teams were split evenly so the games stayed competitive and fun. They were especially great at keeping the younger kids engaged while letting the teens and adults go all out.

​Book in Advance: Saturday midday is prime time. We highly recommend booking your tickets online beforehand to secure your spot.
